Otto Buz DiVosta was a principal partner of a major home development company in South Florida who in 1974 introduced a construction method unique to South Florida. He developed a process for building homes in an assembly line fashion. Since the 1960s, DiVosta had built 40,000 homes in Florida before selling his company to Pulte Homes in 1998. The Solid Built construction features a rebar skeleton of steel reinforced walls around which inner and outer metal forms were placed and then walls poured solid with concrete.
